Lanark
Lanark is a small town in the central belt of Scotland. The name is believed ahead from the Cumbric Lanerc meaning "clear area, glade". Lanark is traditionally the county town of Lanarkshire, though there are several bigger towns in the area. Lanark train station as well as coach station have frequent services to Glasgow. There is little sector in Lanark and some citizens commute to work in Glasgow and also Edinburgh. Its stores offer the neighborhood agricultural community and surrounding villages. There is a big modern livestock auction market on the borders of the town. A long-term armed forces presence was developed in the town with the completion of Winston Barracks in the 1930s.
