You may need planning permission if you are planning a larger extension. All extensions will need building regulations approval. An architect can assist with this and if planning permission is required. A reputable contractor will also be able to advise you if this is needed as well.
Beaminster
Beaminster is a town and also civil parish in Dorset, England, positioned in the Dorset Council management area approximately 15 miles (24 km) northwest of the county town Dorchester. It is sited in a bowl-shaped valley near the source of the small River Brit. The 2013 mid-year quote of the population of Beaminster church is 3,100. In its history Beaminster has been a centre of manufacture of bed linen and woollens, the raw products for which were produced in the surrounding countryside. The town experienced three significant fires in the 17th and 18th centuries; the initial of these, during the English Civil War, almost damaged the fabric of the community. Beaminster parish church is notable for its architecture, specifically its tower.
