Llandrindod Wells
Llandrindod Wells is a community and also community in Powys, within the historical limits of Radnorshire, Wales. It serves as the seat of Powys County Council and thus the administrative centre of Powys. It was created as a medspa community in the 19th century, with a boom in the late 20th century as a centre of local government. Before the 1860s the site of the town prevailed land in Llanfihangel Cefn-llys parish. Llandrindod Wells is the fifth biggest town in Powys, and the largest in Radnorshire. In a 2018 survey embarked on by Rightmove, Llandrindod was voted the Happiest Area in Wales. A study by the Royal Mail over the Easter 2018 period showed that Llandrindod had the greatest on the internet buying prices for that duration in the whole of the nation.
