St Bees
St Bees is a coastal village, civil parish and selecting ward in the Copeland area of Cumbria, England, on the Irish Sea. It was initially in the historical area of Cumberland. Within the church is St Bees Head which is the only Heritage Coast between Wales as well as Scotland which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is an RSPB book as well as has the biggest seabird colony in north-west England. St Bees Lighthouse depends on the North Head which is the most westerly point of Northern England. St Bees is a popular holiday destination because of the coastline and also closeness to the Western Lake District. In the village there is the Norman St Bees Priory, and St Bees School established in 1583. The Wainwright Coast to Coast Walk begin with the north end of St Bees Bay. The village is served by the Cumbrian Coast Railway.
