Frizington
Frizington is a village in Cumbria, England. Historically, it was a collection of farms as well as homes, but became a merged town as a result of the mining (both coal as well as iron ore) opportunities in the location. The town is understood for its church, which was constructed in 1867-1868. Historically a part of Cumberland, Frizington remains in the civil parish of Arlecdon and Frizington, which has a population of 3,678, the Borough of Copeland as well as the CA postal code location. On 2 June 2010, Frizington was the scene of the second murder in the killing spree known as the Cumbria capturings, when Derrick Bird shot his family members solicitor, Kevin Commons. Stephen Holgate, a specialist rugby league player with a variety of clubs, originated from Frizington.
