East Linton
East Linton is a town (recently categorized) and previous authorities burgh in East Lothian, Scotland, positioned on the River Tyne as well as A199 road (former A1 road) five miles east of Haddington, with a population of 1,731 at the 2011 Census. Throughout the 19th Century the population boosted from 715 inhabitants in 1831 to 1042 by 1881. The 1961 census revealed the village still had a population of 1579. The number did go down substantially at the end of the 20th Century however has consequently climbed once again.
