East Linton
East Linton is a village (just recently identified) and previous authorities burgh in East Lothian, Scotland, located on the River Tyne as well as A199 roadway (former A1 road) 5 miles east of Haddington, with a population of 1,731 at the 2011 Census. During the 19th Century the population boosted from 715 residents in 1831 to 1042 by 1881. The 1961 census revealed the town still had a population of 1579. The number did go down substantially at the end of the 20th Century but has subsequently risen again.
