Cleator Moor
Cleator Moor is a village, civil parish and 2 electoral wards (north and also south) in the English region of Cumbria and within the boundaries of the historic region of Cumberland. The community's horizon is controlled by Dent Fell as well as the town lies on the 190 miles (310 km) Coast to Coast Stroll that covers Northern England. On the borders of the town of Cleator Moor lies the village of Cleator with which the town is closely associated. As a settlement of note, it was significantly inhabited by immigrants from the North Eastern areas of Ireland in the latter half of the nineteenth century, resulting in the colloquial title of Little Ireland. With the decrease of conventional industries and also the resulting high rate of unemployment, the town's economy is currently dependent on the close-by Sellafield facility, which offers work to around half the community's people.
