Beckenham
Beckenham is a district inside the London Borough of Bromley. It borders Beckenham Place Park and Bellingham within the London Borough of Lewisham. It is 13.5 km south east of Charing Cross.
Beckenham had been a tiny village within the borough in Kent mostly with land serving as private parkland until the railway was built in 1857. After that, an entrepreneurial family started constructing villas which caused the populace to increase massively from just 2,000 to 26,000 between 1850 and 1900.
