Tregaron
Tregaron is an old market town in Ceredigion, Wales, astride the River Brenig, a tributary of the River Teifi. Tregaron is 11 miles (18 kilometres) northeast of Lampeter. According to the 2011 Census, the population of the ward of Tregaron was 1,213 and also 67% of the population could speak Welsh. Tregaron is an area. The church is committed to St Caron. He was a male of lowly origins however "his nerve and generous deportment acquired him the sovereignty in Wales: he made war versus the Romans, ruled 7 years and was buried in Tregarron".: He is almost certainly the same individual as Carausius who took power in Britain in 286 and was assassinated in 293 by Allectus (also see Carausian Revolt). An early Christian rock slab birthing the name Carausius and the Chi Rho sign is maintained in Penmachno. The church has a tower and also stands on a rocky reputation. It consists of a basic nave as well as chancel. Other notable buildings in the community consist of the 13th-century Talbot Hotel, which apparently has an elephant hidden in its premises. The remote chapel Soar y mynydd is close to Tregaron. In March, 1977, a home near Tregaron was one target of an Operation Julie cops raid in which substantial amounts of the medicine LSD were seized. Nearby Cors Caron (Tregaron Bog), is understood for its adders, buzzards, red kites, and polecats. The River Brenig is kept in mind for its brown trout as well as eels. The river has been the subject of dredging as well as flood-protection functions to supply 1-in-100-year flooding defense to the town as well as enhance the environment for wild animals along a stretch of river.
