Fencing is really important for all properties no matter whether it's the front or back garden. From maintenance work to a complete installation of new fencing, working with a reliable company is highly encouraged to get the very best price available.

Fencing act as a perimeter to our properties and with an installation you'll increase protection to your property and prevent easy access to your back garden. Back garden fences are traditionally close to 6 feet high, which straight away makes it more challenging for intruders to gain access.

Decorative fencing or wooden picket fencing are often best suited for the front garden, where security isn't as paramount. Instead, you're more likely to opt for a front garden fence particularly for design and to add something different.

Withernsea

Withernsea is a seaside hotel community and also civil church in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, and also creates the centerpiece for a larger community of small villages in Holderness. Its most renowned site is the white inland lighthouse, rising around 127 feet (39 m) above Hull Road. The lighthouse-- no more active-- currently houses a gallery to 1950s starlet Kay Kendall, who was born in the community. The Prime Meridian crosses the coastline to the north-west of Withernsea. According to the 2011 UK census, Withernsea parish had a population of 6,159, a boost on the 2001 UK census number of 5,980. Like numerous seaside resorts, Withernsea has a vast promenade which gets to north and also south from Pier Towers, the historical entryway to the pier, built in 1877 at a price of £12,000. The pier was initially 399 yards (365 metres) long, yet was slowly reduced in length via numerous influences by regional ships, beginning with the Saffron in 1880 prior to the collision by an unrevealed ship in 1888, once again by a Grimsby fishing watercraft and also again by the Henry Parr in 1893, leaving the once grand pier with a mere 50 feet (15 metres) of harmed wood and also steel, which was removed in 1903. The Pier Towers have been reconditioned.

    FAQs

Do I need to dispose of the old fencing myself?

Most responsible contractors will dispose of the old fencing via an approved commercial waste site. Do check that the cost of taking rubbish away is included in the quotes you receive, otherwise you might find you get stung when it comes to paying for the work.

How close can I build to my neighbour’s fence?

As a home or property owner, you’re generally allowed to build next to your neighbour’s fence as long as it’s on your own side of the property. With that in mind, there are certain laws that regulate how close a fence can be built to buildings on the same lot or neighbouring lots. In addition, there are also local bylaws that provide limitations on the placements as well as height of fences so as to address safety hazards. In this post, we’re going to give you a good insight into how close you can build to your neighbour. Let’s take a look!

In general, if the fence is in your boundary then you’re allowed to build a 2-metre high brick or wooden fence or wall. However, this may differ depending on your location in the UK. As a result, you may want to reach out to your municipality’s building department in order to determine what these rules and limitations are in your area. In the events whereby there are no such restrictions but you’re still concerned, you can try informing your neighbour what your concerns are. However, if they’re not receptive there are some steps you can take to ensure your plans go as smoothly as possible. These steps include the following:

    • Ensure to leave sufficient space for both the posts and footings
    • Stagger your fence posts in order to make sure you’re not digging your neighbour’s
    • Consider using concrete posts as they’re much stronger and will last a lot longer
    • Use kickers or plinths for raised gardens and flower beds
    • Make use of concrete plinths as they won’t rot over time like a wooden fence.
    How much does fencing cost?

The most basic fencing starts at about £27 per panel. But if you want something that’s more decorative and better quality, expect to budget £30-£40 per panel. If you choose to get a professional to help you put up your fencing, they’ll probably be able to get your panels at a cheaper rate.

Can I attach something to my neighbour’s fence?

There are a number of reasons why disputes can arise between neighbours – all of which can be quite frustrating and challenging. In some cases, this can even cause serious friction and lead to an all-out war. When it comes to the topic of fencing, one of the most common questions that arises is whether or not you can attach something to your neighbour’s fence. If you’re having the same concern, then you’ve come to the right place. In this post, we’re going to give you a good insight into this to help you make informed decisions moving forward. Let’s take a look!

The short and simple answer to this question is no, you can’t attach anything to your neighbour’s fence. If your neighbour owns the fence and you’ve not obtained any permission to do so, then you’re not allowed to attach anything to the fence. Otherwise, you can get into serious trouble with your neighbour as well as the law. If you want to attach something or have the wall on your side painted using another colour, then there’s the need to get a permission from the owner. And while doing so, make sure you’re provided with a written permission so as to avoid problems later in the future.

Another question that mostly arises is what if your neighbour declines your request, is there anything you can do about it? Well, the answer to this is no, there’s nothing you can do about it unless you’re able to convince your neighbour otherwise. And you should know starting a neighbour war or being spiteful can only make matters worse for you.
