Interested in having fencing installed in Pevensey? Using the Quotatis service you'll be able to contrast as many as 4 fencing installers to get the best deal available for the task you want.

Fencing is important for all houses no matter whether it's the front or back garden. From repair work to a full installation of new fencing, working with a reputable contractor is highly recommended to get the best price available.

Fencing act as a boundary to our households and with an installation you'll add more protection to your home and stop easy access to your back garden. Back garden fences are typically around six feet high, which right away makes it more difficult for intruders to gain access.

Decorative fences or wooden picket fencing are often most appropriate for the front garden, where security isn't as paramount. Instead, you're more likely to select a front garden fence specifically for design and also to add something different.

For whatever style of fencing you're wanting to have installed, be sure you make use of our free and no obligation service to get the best deal available in Pevensey.

The documents of the Corporation are kept in the East Sussex Record Office at Lewes, as well as a voluntary body, the Pevensey Town Trust, was formed to manage the home which had previously belonged to the Corporation, most notably the Old Court House. Pevensey is currently a village, with a parish council consisting of twelve chosen councillors. Three councillors are elected to the Wealden District Council to stand for Pevensey; the Member of Parliament is Hugh Merriman, that represents the Bexhill and Battle Constituency, of which Pevensey is component. Pevensey is additionally part of the electoral ward called Pevensey as well as Westham. The population of this ward at the 2011 Census was 9,467.

    FAQs

Do I need to dispose of the old fencing myself?

Most responsible contractors will dispose of the old fencing via an approved commercial waste site. Do check that the cost of taking rubbish away is included in the quotes you receive, otherwise you might find you get stung when it comes to paying for the work.

Can I make my neighbour repair their fence?

For a lot of home and property owners in the UK, a common courtesy is being neighbourly and several people find it relatively easy to get along with the folks next door. However, for most individuals, where the major dispute arises most times is due to boundaries which can lead to impasse that may only be resolved through legal action. But since nobody wants that, when boundary issues become more than just passing a comment about the current condition of the fence, you may want to clue yourself up on what to do to get the desired action. If attempts have been made to talk to your neighbour to no avail, there are a couple of things you can consider to make “them next door repair their fence. In this post, we’re going to give you a good insight on these things to help you make informed decisions. Let’s take a look!

Firstly, it should be stated that if the fence poses an immediate danger then the usual legalities doesn’t apply. In this scenario, you may need to report to the local council who’ll take the necessary action on your behalf.

    • Offer assistance. Since the cost of repairing a fence isn’t the cheapest thing to do, a lot of people might not be too eager to carry out this project and any friendly suggestion to do so may not be taken kindly. So if you feel that the this may be the issue, you can try offering some assistance to lessen the financial burden on your neighbour.
    • Put up your own fence. If all attempts fail, you can consider erecting your own fence. However, this must be on your own property and as close to the boundary as possible.
How do I find out who owns a fence?

Speaking to the owners of the neighbouring properties is recommended. If you are still unsure, you may need to check the original deeds to the property. Generally the rule is that you are responsible for the fence at the right hand side of your property.

How to tell which fence is yours?

If there’s a fence dividing yours and your neighbour’s properties that needs maintaining or replacing, you’ll want to know who owns it. Start by checking your deeds to see if there’s an existing boundary agreement. If there isn’t, have a chat with them to see if you can come to an arrangement yourselves.
