Blandford Forum, generally Blandford, is a market town in the North Dorset area of Dorset, England, sited by the River Stour about 13 mi (21 km) northwest of Poole. It was the management headquarters of North Dorset District Council up until April 2019, when area councils combined to become Dorset County Council. Blandford is notable for its Georgian architecture, the outcome of restoring after most of the community was ruined by a fire in 1731. The rebuilding job was helped by an Act of Parliament as well as a donation by George II, and also the rebuilt town centre-- to designs by local designers John as well as William Bastard-- has endured to the present day largely undamaged.
