Greenhithe
Greenhithe (population 4,700) is a village in the District of Dartford in Kent, England. It is located east of Dartford, in the civil parish of Swanscombe and Greenhithe. Greenhithe's economy no longer depends upon river trade, this having been replaced by the M25 motorway, the new High Speed 1 Ebbsfleet International station and also the Bluewater complex. The whole area is being redeveloped as part of the Thames Gateway regeneration. Its proponent councils and also federal government sponsors thus intend to attract more affluence and revenue generation, especially with the interaction with the huge shopping complex. This is shown in boosted residential or commercial property evaluations, and a little greater costs than in 20th century overspill estates which often tended to line the tidewater. Its high street is less considerable a destination than Bluewater, which is supplemented by a supermarket in the village. Greenhithe train station apart, there is little in the area apart from housing. The Thames Gateway project has seen expansion of residential areas of the village such as Ingress Park and also Waterstone Park, as well as of commercial as well as company estates that practically totally border the previous large hamlet.
