Abbots Langley
Abbots Langley is a large village and civil parish in the English county of Hertfordshire. It is an old settlement and is named Langelai in the Domesday Book of 1086. This village has a lengthy history of successful human inhabitation. The first traces of human residence in the location were documented by prominent archaeologist Sir John Evans. The village sits on a dish of clay covered by a coating of gravel, and because of this water supply has never been an issue; documents reveal that in earlier times water could be drawn from a well just twenty feet deep.
