Rowland's Castle
Rowlands Castle is a town as well as civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 2.9 miles (4.7 km) north of Havant, on the Hampshire/West Sussex border. The prime focus of the village is the village green which is shaped rather like a lung. Surrounded by roads it has to do with 250 lawns (230 m) long as well as about 40 yards (37 m) wide at its eastern end while tapering to almost a point at the western end near the train arch. The town takes its name from a motte-and-bailey castle, the remains of which are located to the south of Redhill Road and west of the train line, east of the present centre of the village. It is largely a quiet domestic town, with four clubs and a couple of little shops, consisting of an equipment shop as well as a regional corner store, and also a population of 2,770.
