Lanark
Lanark is a small town in the central belt of Scotland. The name is thought ahead from the Cumbric Lanerc meaning "clear space, glade". Lanark is commonly the county town of Lanarkshire, though there are numerous bigger towns in the region. Lanark train station as well as train station have frequent services to Glasgow. There is little market in Lanark and some citizens commute to operate in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Its stores offer the regional agricultural area and also surrounding villages. There is a big contemporary livestock auction market on the outskirts of the town. A permanent army presence was established in the community with the conclusion of Winston Barracks in the 1930s.
