Lanark
Lanark is a town in the main belt of Scotland. The name is believed ahead from the Cumbric Lanerc suggesting "clear area, glade". Lanark is generally the county town of Lanarkshire, though there are a number of bigger towns in the area. Lanark train station as well as trainer station have frequent services to Glasgow. There is little sector in Lanark as well as some citizens commute to work in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Its stores serve the regional farming area and also bordering villages. There is a big modern livestock public auction market on the outskirts of the community. A permanent army presence was developed in the town with the conclusion of Winston Barracks in the 1930s.
