Par
Par is a village and fishing port with a harbour on the south coast of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is located in the civil parish of Tywardreath as well as Par, although West Par as well as the anchors hinge on the parish of St Blaise. Par is roughly 3.5 miles (5.6 km) east of St Austell. Par has a population of around 1,600 (in 2012). It became created in the second quarter of the 19th century when the harbour was created, to serve copper mines as well as other mineral sites in and surrounding the Luxulyan Valley; china clay later on became the dominant traffic as copper working declined, and also the harbour as well as the china clay dries out stay as distinguishing characteristics of the industrial heritage; however the mineral task is much lowered. Par Harbour and the beach at Par Sands are south of the town, and also the latter consists of a large fixed caravan vacation park; one more small beach is at Spit Point west of the harbour. Between these 2 beaches the South West Coast Path takes an inland diversion with the town. Par lies in a triangular of roads which form a one-way traffic system. There is a selection of shops, a post office, a hostelry as well as other organisations.
