Torrington
Great Torrington (usually shortened to Torrington, though the towns of Little Torrington as well as Black Torrington are situated in the very same region) is a little market town in the north of Devon, England. Parts of it are sited over ground with steep fall to the River Torridge below, with the lower-lying parts of the town vulnerable to periodic flooding. Torrington remains in the centre of Tarka Nation, a landscape caught by Henry Williamson in his unique Tarka the Otter in 1927. Great Torrington has one of one of the most active offering communities in the United Kingdom. In July 2019, Great Torrington was reported to be the healthiest area to stay in Britain. Researchers from the University of Liverpool located that the location had low degrees of contamination, excellent access to green space as well as health services, along with couple of retail outlets.
