Camelford
Camelford is a community and civil parish in north Cornwall, England, UK, situated in the River Camel valley northwest of Bodmin Moor. The community is approximately ten miles (16 km) north of Bodmin as well as is controlled by Camelford Town Council. [3] Lanteglos-by-Camelford is the clerical parish in which the community is located (not to be confused with Lanteglos-by-Fowey). The ward population at the 2011 Census was 4,001. The Town population at the same census was 865 only. Camelford is in the North Cornwall legislative constituency represented by Scott Mann MP given that 2015. Until 1974, the community was the administrative head office of Camelford Rural District. The two major commercial business in the area are the slate quarry at Delabole and celebrity factory at Davidstow as well as there is a little industrial estate at Highfield. The A39 roadway (called 'Atlantic Freeway') passes through the community centre: a bypass has been discussed for several years. Camelford Station, some range from the community, closed in 1966; the website was subsequently made use of as a cycling gallery.
