Stansted
Stansted Mountfitchet is an English village and also civil parish in Uttlesford area, Essex, near the Hertfordshire border, 35 miles (56 kilometres) north of London. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 5,533, enhancing to 6,011 at the 2011 census. The village is offered by Stansted Mountfitchet railway station. Stansted Mountfitchet is located in north west Essex near the Hertfordshire boundary and also 3 miles (5 kilometres) north of Bishop's Stortford. Stansted Airport is 2 miles (3 km) from the town. The village has 3 primary schools (Bentfield Primary School, St Mary's (C of E) Primary School and Magna Carta Primary Academy), as well as one high school which was relabelled the Forest Hall School in September, 2013.
