Greenhithe (population 4,700) is a village in the Borough of Dartford in Kent, England. It lies east of Dartford, in the civil parish of Swanscombe and Greenhithe. Greenhithe's economic situation no more relies on river profession, this having actually been changed by the M25 motorway, the new Broadband 1 Ebbsfleet International station and the Bluewater complex. The whole area is being redeveloped as part of the Thames Gateway regrowth. Its proponent councils and federal government sponsors hence aim to bring in more abundance and also revenue generation, particularly via the communication with the enormous mall. This is shown in boosted residential or commercial property assessments, as well as a little greater investing than in 20th century overspill estates which tended to line the estuary. Its high street is much less considerable a destination than Bluewater, which is supplemented by a supermarket in the village. Greenhithe train station aside, there is little in the location apart from real estate. The Thames Gateway project has seen expansion of property neighbourhoods of the village such as Ingress Park and Waterstone Park, as well as of industrial and company estates that almost entirely surround the previous large community.
