Choppington
Choppington is a village and civil parish in Northumberland, England. It is located a short range to the south-east of Morpeth, and north of Bedlington. It was at once part of the three large mid-Northumberland collieries (Ashington, Bomarsund as well as Choppington). The parish, which was formerly called North Bedlington, likewise consists of the negotiations of Bomarsund, Guide Post, Stakeford, Sheepwash, Scotland Gate and West Sleekburn. An electoral ward exists. the population of this ward at the 2011 Census was 4,792.
