Chalfont St Giles
Chalfont St Giles is a town and civil church within the Chiltern district in south east Buckinghamshire, England, on the edge of the Chilterns, 20.9 miles (33.6 km) west-north-west of Charing Cross, central London, and also near Seer Green, Jordans, Chalfont St Peter, Little Chalfont and Amersham. Chalfont implies chalk spring, of the water bring capabilities of the neighborhood terrain. The town has a pond that is fed by the River Misbourne. In 2009, the town was awarded the European Diploma of the Council of Europe in acknowledgment of its efforts to circulate the idea of European unity.
