Arundel
Arundel is a market town and also civil parish in a steep vale of the South Downs, West Sussex, England. The much-conserved community has a middle ages castle and Roman Catholic sanctuary. Although smaller in population than the majority of various other parishes, Arundel has a gallery and comes 2nd behind much larger Chichester in its variety of provided buildings in West Sussex. The River Arun runs through the eastern side of the community. Arundel was just one of the boroughs reformed by the Municipal Reform Act 1835. From 1836 to 1889 the town had its very own District police with a strength of three. In 1974 it entered into the Arun area, and is now a civil church with a town council. A selecting ward of the exact same name exists. This ward extends north to Houghton with a complete population at the 2011 census of 4,298.
