Buxton
Buxton is a spa town within Derbyshire. As it is on the border of the county boundary, with Cheshire to the west and Staffordshire to the south, Buxton is frequently known as 'The Gateway to the Peak District National Park'. Historically a municipal borough, Buxton joined other locations in 1974 to establish the local government district and borough of High Peak inside the county of Derbyshire.
