Yarmouth
Yarmouth is a town, port as well as civil parish in the west of the Isle of Wight, off the south coastline of England. The town is named for its area at the mouth of the tiny Western Yar river. The community expanded near the river going across, originally a ferryboat, which was changed with a road bridge in 1863. Yarmouth is just one of the tiniest towns in the UK. The 2011 census reported the parish of Yarmouth having 865 typical locals. In 2001 the population was just 791 (compared to about 600 at the beginning of the 19th century). As a port as well as market community Yarmouth has had local industrial value. It still has some watercraft yards as well as chandlery, as well as although reasonably small it still supports a variety of stores, hotels, clubs and restaurants, supported partly by passing trade from the ferryboat terminal as well as checking out watercraft owners.
