East Cowes
East Cowes is a community as well as civil parish to the north of the Isle of Wight, on the east financial institution of the River Medina alongside its neighbour on the west financial institution, Cowes. Both communities are connected by the Cowes Drifting Bridge, a chain ferryboat run by the Isle of Wight Council. East Cowes is the site of Norris Castle, as well as Osborne House, the former summertime house of Queen Victoria as well as Prince Albert. The Prince had a major influence on the style of the location, for example on the structure of St Mildred's Church in close-by Whippingham, which features unique turrets copying those found on a German castle.
