Yarm
Yarm is a small town in North Yorkshire, England. The community is on the south financial institution of the River Tees and also is traditionally part of the North Riding of Yorkshire. The bridge at Yarm noted the furthest reach of tidal flow up the River Tees till the opening, in 1995, of the Tees Barrage, which now regulates river flow over Stockton. As the last bridge on the river prior to the sea, it was superseded by a new toll bridge opened up in Stockton in 1771. The earliest part of the town, around the High Street, is situated in a loop of the river, as well as the more recent parts of the town include the factor where the River Leven meets the River Tees. The town is regulated as part of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees.
