Alva
Alva is a small town in Clackmannanshire, embeded in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It is among a variety of communities positioned immediately to the south of the Ochil Hills, collectively known as the Hillfoots Towns or merely The Hillfoots. It is located in between Tillicoultry and Menstrie. Alva had a resident population of 5,181 at the 2001 census yet this has given that been changed to 4,960 in 2006. It boasts numerous functions such as a park with an event hall and also a newly opened up outdoor health club, and also is the house of Alva Academy. Alva was traditionally in an exclave of Stirlingshire, yet it was transferred to Clackmannanshire in 1891.
