Kirknewton
Kirknewton is a town previously in the region of Midlothian as well as, since 1975, in West Lothian, Scotland. The population of the Kirknewton Community Council area is 2200, that includes the town and also surrounding locations. It exists south of the A71 from Edinburgh to Livingston, and also north of the A70, the high-level road that runs along the north side of the Pentland Hills from Edinburgh to Carnwath and Lanark. Much of the town stands back from the B7031, which connects the two primary "A" roads.
