Hardwood Doors in Faversham

Front doors are an important part of any home and therefore, require a wide variety of features to make certain they're ideal. Hardwood doors are one option and actually quite popular amongst householders for many reasons.

For a front door, you need exceptional security, weather resistance, durability and above all, fantastic aesthetic appeal. And that's just what a hardwood front door will give you. They look brilliant and you may even select from a selection of colours and incredible styles to create a unique appeal for your property.

Regardless of your property, you could think about a Victorian, Edwardian modern or even country front door style. Then the colour could range from a traditional white or black, to the much more bold red, green and blue.

Hardwood doors are preferred over the more affordable uPVC option because they're a lot more resistant and look excellent. They might cost you a little more, but the expense is worth it when you consider the amazing benefits.

Faversham

Faversham is a market town and civil parish in the Swale area of Kent, England. The town is located 48 miles from London and 10 miles from Canterbury. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 19316, raising by 1606 from the 2001 Census. It sits alongside the Swale, a strip of sea that separates mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary. It is close to the A2, which travels through an ancient British track used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons, referred to as Watling Street. The town's name is a combination of Latin and Old English, which translates to mean 'the metal-worker's village'. Faversham has actually had a settlement ever since prior to Roman times, and archaeology has established that a Roman theatre was based in the town. Gradually, the town became an important seaport and centre for brewing. The Shepherd Neame Brewery, formed in 1698, continues to have a notable role in the regional economy as a substantial employer. Between the 17th and the beginning of the 20th century, the town was the centre of the explosives market, which decreased after an incident in 1916 killed more than 100 workers. This drop-off took place simultaneously to the re-emergence of the town's shipping industry, meaning that it had merely a trivial effect on the economy. There are a wide range of landmarks to be seen in the town, with churches including St. Mary of Charity, Faversham Parish Church, the Maison Dieu and Faversham Recreation Ground. Being present for over 900 years, the market continues to be based in the town centre.
