An engineered wooden door is a door made out of multiple pieces of wood. This is opposed to solid wooden doors that are made out of one piece of wood.Engineered wooden doors are usually covered by veneer to make them look like they are made from one piece of wood. They tend to be sturdier and straighter than solid doors.
Brierley Hill
Brierley Hill is a modest town and electoral ward of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough within the West Midlands of England. It is positioned around 2.5 miles to the south of central Dudley and 2 miles north of Stourbridge. Brierley Hill was historically in Staffordshire, but is now a part of the West Midlands metropolitan county ever since its establishment in 1974. Part of the Black Country, and in a heavily industrialised area of the Dudley Borough, it features a population of roughly 13,935 people, based on the 2011 census. Largely a product of the Industrial Revolution, Brierley Hill features a fairly current history, with the original written records of the town going back to the 17th century. Originally established as a settlement in the woodland of Pensnett Chase, it started to expand quickly after the chase's enclosure in 1748, and was first recorded on a map in 1785 after the mapping of the Stourbridge Canal. The town is primarily recognized for glass and steel production, although the business has declined significantly since the 1970s. On the list of the biggest factories within the area was the Round Oak Steelworks, which was shut and redeveloped in the 1980s to be transformed into the Merry Hill Shopping Centre. The Merry Hill Shopping Centre is immediately east of Brierley Hill. One of the largest shopping centres in the UK, it was constructed between 1985 and 1989 on the site of Merry Hill Farm, the final working urban farm inside the West Midlands. Since 2008, Brierley Hill, including the close by Waterfront Business Park and Merry Hill Shopping Centre, has been officially named as the Strategic Town Centre of the Dudley Borough, with the aim to make a new town centre for the borough.
