i am looking to have a bespoke oak door made to replace my existing timber front door. Please get in touch if you can offer such a service
Front doors are an important part of any household and therefore, must have a variety of qualities to ensure they're suitable. Hardwood doors are one option and in fact quite popular among householders for many reasons.
For a front door, you will need superb security, weather resistance, durability and above all, amazing aesthetic appeal. And that's just what a hardwood front door will give you. They look great and you could even choose from a range of colours and incredible designs to create a unique appeal for your house.
Irrespective of your home, you could think about a Victorian, Edwardian modern or even country front door style. Then the colour could vary from a traditional black or white, to the much more bold red, green and blue.
Hardwood doors are preferred over the less expensive uPVC option simply because they're far more resilient and look excellent. They might cost you a little more, however the expense is worth it considering the fantastic benefits.
The common cost of Hardwood doors is £900. Costs fluctuate based upon the materials and the tradesman hired. The upper price range can be as high as £1035. The material costs are in general about £225

Oldbury is a town in Sandwell, West Midlands in England. It is a part of the Black Country, and the administrative centre of the borough of Sandwell. The town's name comes from the Old English 'Ealdenbyrig', which shows that Oldbury was old even in early English times over 1000 years ago. Eald is Old English for 'old', and Byrig is the plural of 'burh' in Old English, with a burh being a stronghold or fortified town. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 13606 people. Oldbury was part of the ancient parish of Halesowen, a removed part of Shropshire surrounded by Worcestershire and Staffordshire, until the Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844, when it was involved back into Worcestershire after an absence of nine-hundred years. It came to be an Urban District in 1894, receiving Municipal Borough status in 1935. In this time, Oldbury council constructed several thousand houses, flats and bungalows for some 40 years till its disbandment, the 1000th of which was completed in 1933 at Wallace Road near the border with Rowley Regis. Ever since the 1980s, the town has actually seen ongoing growth, primarily the development of more retail possibilities. This features Oldbury Green Retail Park, situated on the town's ring road, which was formed in the middle of the 1990s. This, together with the advancement of the Merry Hill Shopping Centre discovered about 6 miles away throughout the second half of the 1980s, has added to a decline in the functioning of nearby West Bromwich town centre as a retail centre for residents. For all your home remodelings, be sure to identify credible specialists in Oldbury to make certain of quality.

An engineered wooden door is a door made out of multiple pieces of wood. This is opposed to solid wooden doors that are made out of one piece of wood.Engineered wooden doors are usually covered by veneer to make them look like they are made from one piece of wood. They tend to be sturdier and straighter than solid doors.
