Calne
Calne is a town and civil parish in Wiltshire, southwestern England, at the north western extremity of the North Wessex Downs hill range. A marked Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Calne is situated on a little river, the Marden, which rises 2 miles (3 kilometres) away in the Wessex Downs, and it is the only town on that river. As measured in the 2011 Census, Calne boasted a population of 17,274 residents. Ever since the end of the 1990s, Calne expanded dramatically in comparison to most other towns in the South West region.
