Erecting a single storey extension
Renovating floors could involve a variety of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even entirely removing and replacing flooring. The type of renovation work will depend upon the kind of the existing flooring. In older homes with period floors like flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation will often entail repair and cleaning of the existing floor as it will likely be an appealing attribute of the home. In contemporary properties with carpet or hardwood floors, renovation is more likely to require entirely changing the existing floors, either like for like using a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden floors, the procedure of renovation generally consists of sanding the top layer of hardwood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile floors can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles exchanged, followed by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further problems or damage will generally require replacing the carpet. Specialised floor renovation companies will be able to advise you of the best solution to breathe new life into tired flooring or bring old flooring up to a high standard. Specialist tools might also be necessary for repairing or replacing flooring.
The typical cost of Flooring renovation is £600. Costs alter based upon the materials and the business selected. The upper price range can be as high as £690. The material costs are ordinarily around £150

The London Borough of Lewisham is a London borough in south-east London, England and forms part of Inner London. The borough wasformed in 1965, by the London Government Act 1963, as an amalgamation of the former location of the Metropolitan Borough of Lewisham plus the Metropolitan Borough of Deptford, which had been created in 1900 as divisions of the County of London. However, minor boundary changes have occurred since its creation. One of the most significant amendments were made in 1996, when the previous area of the Royal Docks in Deptford was transferred from the London Borough of Greenwich.
The principal settlement in the borough is Lewisham. The borough covers an overall area of about 13.57 square miles. It is surrounded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to the east, the London Borough of Bromley towards the south and also the London Borough of Southwark towards the west. The River Thames forms a short section of northern boundary with the Isle of Dogs inside the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Deptford Creek, Pool River, River Quaggy and River Ravensbourne pass by way of the borough.
According to population estimates produced during 2014, Lewisham is a borough with around 291933 permanent residents. Around 43 per cent of households are owner-occupiers. The Prime Meridian passes through Lewisham. Blackheath, Goldsmiths, University of London and Millwall F.C. are situated within the borough.

One the several of the several benefits that comes with having a wooden floor installed is the fact that damaged surfaces can be repaired without the need to replace the floor in the whole room. This is not applicable to many other types of flooring whereby even the littlest damages are not reparable. Depending on the severity and depth of the wooden flooring damage, there are a number of techniques you can incorporate to repair the affected area. For examples, minor damages will not require as much effort as corner curling or cupping. In certain cases where the job requires no expertise, the repair process can be done by any individual with no prior experience in similar works. However, in other cases, when the wooden flooring has suffered a major damage, it’s advisable to call for a professional help.
First of all, it’s quite important to always watch out and prevent any sort of damages as this is way better than spending time trying to have the damaged surface repaired. One of the ways to prevent damages is by always lifting furniture rather than just dragging it across the floor when you need to move it. However, accidents are always meant to happen. In the case of damaged wooden flooring, here are some repair solutions.
When there are small scratches on your flooring, simply add a new coating of sealer to your floor (if the floor has already been oiled, just add another layer of oil). For lacquered floors, make use of a lacquer repair pen to help get rid of the scratches. In addition, there are some DIY shops offering wax filler sticks which can be used to hide or remove both light and medium scratches on wooden flooring.
