Johnstone is a town in the council area and county of Renfrewshire in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. It is found 3 miles west of Paisley, 12 miles west of the centre of the city of Glasgow and 12 miles north east of Kilwinning. A dual carriageway joins Johnstone to the M8 motorway for transportation connections to central Scotland, and the town provides 2 railway stations with routine trains to Glasgow Central, Paisley and the Ayrshie Coast.
