Bellshill
Bellshill is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It's positioned 10 miles south east of Glasgow city centre and 37 miles to the west of Edinburgh, as well as being in close proximity to other towns like Motherwell, Hamilton and Coatbridge. Since 1996, it has been a part of the Greater Glasgow metropolitan area. Since the middle of the 1980s, the town has been recognised particularly for producing respected and influential popular music, with bands such as the Soup Dragons, BMX Bandits and Teenage Fanclub hailing from the town. A Channel 4 TV series, 'Sounds of the Suburbs', celebrated the music of the area, often referred to as the 'Bellshill Sound' or the 'Bellshill Beat'.
