The London Borough of Havering is a London borough in East London, England and forms part of Outer London. The London Borough of Havering was created in 1965 by the combined former area of the Municipal Borough of Romford and Hornchurch Urban District which had been transferred to Greater London from Essex by the London Government Act 1963. The name Havering is a reference to the Royal Liberty of Havering which occupied the area for many centuries. The local authority is Havering London Borough Council.
The principal town in Havering is Romford and the other primary communities are Hornchurch, Upminster and Rainham. Havering is bordered south by the London Borough of Bexley by the River Thames, to the west by the London Borough of Redbridge along with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and towards the north and east by Essex. The borough is mainly characterised by suburban improvement with large areas of protected open space. Havering covers an overall area of 43.35 square miles. There is a high ratio of area per capita as big parts of Havering are parkland and 23 square miles (60 km2), which is over 50% of the borough, is Metropolitan Green Belt protected land. Those locations of development are comprehensive but seldom intensive.
Romford's urban centre is a important metropolitan retail and evening entertainment centre and to the south the borough extends into the London Riverside redevelopment area of the Thames Gateway. Havering is served by the London Underground and there's an substantial network of London Bus routes.

How Much Does Pat Testing Cost?
When it comes to Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) there’s no particular rule that determines how much such services can cost. However as a rule of thumb, you should take note that when calling in a professional PAT testing company they’re likely to charge within the range of £1 to £3 per appliance that’s going to be tested. However, if you have quite a number of appliances to be tested, then there’s a good chance that the price per appliance can be reduced to serve as a bulk discount. So the more the appliances to be tested, the better.
There are companies that actually offer a pricing that’s below £1 per item, however companies likely are most definitely going to have a fixed minimum number of appliances that are required to be tested or a fixed minimum fee like 60 portable appliances. It must, however, be noted that pricing can also go beyond PAT Testing as several professional companies will add some additional advantages which is more than just the test of each individual appliance. This kind of pricing can include other services such as a thorough visual inspection, plug rewiring as well as fuse replacements. They can also include stuffs like Pail and Fail labels in the pricing.
Generally, the average price of PAT testing will be based on various influencing factors such as the type of the appliance, setting, number of appliance to be tested as well as other related expenses. What’s more? Most PAT companies will offer a company with a PAT Testing Certificate so as to certify that the company is in total compliance and also remains a safe environment to work.
If your fuse box keeps tripping or blowing fuses, it may need replacing. Other signs that your fuse box is not working properly include humming, sparking and lack of power. Contact an electrician and ask for a safety report, this will diagnose the problem and lead to a quick fix.
With age and use any electrical installation in your home will wear. A periodic inspection is therefore carried out to ensure your home electrics are in a satisfactory condition. With a periodic inspection: Ensure your electrical circuits aren’t overloaded, Avoid accidents such as shocks and fire hazards, Discover if there are any defective lines,Highlight any lack of earthing or bonding..
Periodic testing and inspections should be completed: Every 10 years for your home, Every five years for rented accommodation, Every three years for a caravan, Every year for a swimming pool.Electrical inspections are also carried out when buying, selling or renting a property.
We can help you get more Electrical testing (pat testing) work and boost your business.
