Garve
Garve is a village on the Black Water river, in Ross-shire, and is in the Highland Council area of Scotland. It is positioned 5 miles (8 kilometres) northwest of Contin, on the A835, the main road to Ullapool on the west shore, close to where the A832 branches off towards Achnasheen. The town is served by the Garve train station, on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line, which goes across the A835 road on a level going across. In 1890 Garve was proposed as the starting-point of a train to Ullapool. The village has a primary school and also hotel but no shop. The town is within the Garve as well as District Community Council location. Garve as well as District are offered by the Garve and District Development Company, a firm developed by the area throughout 2017.
