Frinton was once geographically distinctive, but housing estates currently line the roads between Frinton and also Walton-on-the-Naze, Kirby Cross and also Kirby-Le-Soken. The town has sandy as well as rock beach cleaned daily, greater than a mile (1,600 m) long, with wardens in season, as well as an area of sea zoned for swimming, sailing as well as windsurfing. The coast is lined by a boardwalk with a number of hundred beach huts. Landward from the promenade is a long greensward, preferred with young and old alike, extending from the border with Walton-on-Naze to the golf club in the south.
