Dalbeattie
Dalbeattie is a town in the historical area of Kirkcudbrightshire in Dumfries as well as Galloway, Scotland. Dalbeattie remains in a woody valley on the Urr Water 6 kilometres (4 mi) eastern of Castle Douglas and also 19 km (12 mi) south west of Dumfries. The community is famous for its granite market and for being the house town of William McMaster Murdoch, the First Officer of the RMS Titanic. The Dalbeattie War Memorial was developed by Pilkington Jackson and also was introduced in 1921.
