Brampton
Brampton (population 4,627) is a tiny market community, civil parish as well as electoral ward within the City of Carlisle district of Cumbria, England, about 9 miles (14 km) eastern of Carlisle and also 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) south of Hadrian's Wall. Historically part of Cumberland, it is positioned off the A69 road which bypasses it. Brampton train station, on the Newcastle as well as Carlisle Train, has to do with a mile outside the community, near the community of Milton. St Martin's Church is popular as the only church designed by the Pre-Raphaelite designer Philip Webb, and includes among one of the most beautiful sets of stained glass windows created by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, and also carried out in the William Morris studio.
