Clarbeston Road
Clarbeston is a town as well as parish in Pembrokeshire, Wales, 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) eastern of Haverfordwest. The parish, together with Wiston and Walton East, comprise the neighborhood of Wiston. The English placename suggests "Clarenbald's ranch", Clarenbald being a continental Germanic (probably Flemish) personal name. The Welsh placename is a translation of the English. Clarbeston Road train station and also the surrounding negotiation as well as post town of Clarbeston Road exist to the west of the town. The parish is close to, or on, the Pembrokeshire language frontier as well as has constantly had a rather ever-changing percentage of Welsh speakers. The church had an area of 671 ha (1,660 acres). Its census populations were: 180 (1801 ): 178 (1851 ): 158 (1901 ): 114 (1951 ): 71 (1981 ). The percent of Welsh audio speakers was 41 (1891 ): 44 (1931 ): 27 (1971 ).
