Girvan
Girvan is a burgh in Carrick, South Ayrshire, Scotland. Girvan is positioned on the eastern coastline of the Firth of Clyde, with a population of concerning 6,700. It lies 21 miles (34 km) south of Ayr, as well as 29 miles (47 km) north of Stranraer, the primary ferryboat port from Scotland to Northern Ireland. Girvan was initially an angling port. In 1668, it became a metropolitan burgh integrated by charter.
