Garve
Garve is a town on the Black Water river, in Ross-shire, as well as is in the Highland Council location of Scotland. It is located 5 miles (8 kilometres) northwest of Contin, on the A835, the main road to Ullapool on the west shore, near to where the A832 branches off towards Achnasheen. The town is served by the Garve train station, on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line, which goes across the A835 road on a level crossing. In 1890 Garve was recommended as the starting-point of a train to Ullapool. The village has a primary school as well as resort but no store. The town is within the Garve and also District Community Council location. Garve as well as District are offered by the Garve and District Development Company, a business developed by the community during 2017.
