Chalfont St Giles
Chalfont St Giles is a town and civil church within the Chiltern district in south east Buckinghamshire, England, on the edge of the Chilterns, 20.9 miles (33.6 km) west-north-west of Charing Cross, central London, and near Seer Green, Jordans, Chalfont St Peter, Little Chalfont as well as Amersham. Chalfont implies chalk springtime, of the water bring capacities of the local surface. The town has a duck pond that is fed by the River Misbourne. In 2009, the town was granted the European Diploma of the Council of Europe in recognition of its initiatives to propagate the concept of European unity.
