Chalfont St Giles
Chalfont St Giles is a village as well as civil parish within the Chiltern area in south east Buckinghamshire, England, on the edge of the Chilterns, 20.9 miles (33.6 kilometres) west-north-west of Charing Cross, central London, and also near Seer Green, Jordans, Chalfont St Peter, Little Chalfont as well as Amersham. Chalfont suggests chalk springtime, in reference to the water bring capacities of the neighborhood terrain. The village has a pond that is fed by the River Misbourne. In 2009, the town was granted the European Diploma of the Council of Europe in recognition of its initiatives to propagate the concept of European unity.
