Aviemore
Aviemore is a town and also tourist resort, positioned within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. It is in the Badenoch and Strathspey board area, within the Highland council location. The town is popular for snowboarding and various other winter months sports, as well as for hill-walking in the Cairngorm Mountains. There are excellent sights of the Cairngorms from numerous areas within the community, especially from the railway station. The Aviemore stone circle is located within a household area of the community. Aviemore rests on the B9152 (the "old" A9 road considering that the highway from Inverness to Perth was restored further west in 1980). Aviemore railway station is on the Highland Main Line and also Aviemore is additionally the southerly terminus of the Strathspey Railway, a heritage train.
